Purpose and responsibility
This policy applies to every user, workspace, API client, integration, agent, avatar, generated output, and automated action using MetaPresence. You are responsible for your users, content, integrations, and the way output is reviewed, disclosed, and distributed.
You must comply with applicable law, contractual obligations, platform rules, and third-party rights. If you are unsure whether a use is lawful or appropriately authorized, do not proceed until you have obtained qualified advice and the required permission.
Identity, voice, and consent
You may not create, upload, clone, animate, or deploy a person’s identity unless:
- you have documented authority and informed consent covering the intended use of their face, voice, likeness, recordings, personal data, and resulting synthetic media;
- the person is at least 18 years old;
- the use respects publicity, privacy, biometric, copyright, and employment rights; and
- you provide any disclosure required when people interact with synthetic media or AI.
Consent must be specific enough for the actual audience, channel, purpose, and duration. Public availability of an image, video, or recording does not by itself grant permission to clone or simulate that person.
Deception and fraud
You may not use MetaPresence to:
- impersonate a person or organization without clear authorization and disclosure;
- create or distribute deceptive deepfakes, fabricated endorsements, false evidence, or synthetic media intended to mislead;
- conduct phishing, social engineering, identity theft, payment fraud, investment fraud, or other deceptive schemes;
- misrepresent an AI system as a human where that would be deceptive or unlawful; or
- conceal the origin or material alteration of content where disclosure is required.
Harmful and unlawful content
You may not use the service to create, process, store, or distribute content that:
- sexually exploits or endangers a child, or depicts a minor in sexualized content;
- facilitates violence, terrorism, human trafficking, self-harm, illegal weapons, or other serious physical harm;
- is unlawfully hateful, harassing, threatening, defamatory, abusive, or invasive of privacy;
- infringes copyright, trademark, confidentiality, publicity, privacy, biometric, or other rights;
- contains malware, stolen credentials, or instructions primarily intended for cyber abuse;
- supports an unlawful product, service, transaction, or regulated activity; or
- otherwise violates applicable law or a binding court or regulatory order.
High-impact decisions
MetaPresence may not be used as the sole decision-maker for employment, credit, insurance, housing, education, healthcare, legal services, access to essential services, or another decision that creates legal or similarly significant effects for a person.
Any permitted support for these activities requires qualified human review, appropriate notices, a lawful basis, meaningful appeal or correction processes where required, and safeguards against unlawful discrimination.
Platform and system abuse
You may not:
- gain or attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, data, models, or networks;
- probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities without prior written authorization;
- introduce malware or disrupt, overload, scrape, or degrade the service;
- bypass safety controls, usage limits, access restrictions, or payment requirements;
- reverse engineer the service except where applicable law expressly permits it; or
- use output or access to build or train a competing model where prohibited by contract.
Automated communications
Automated calls, messages, emails, meeting participation, and outreach must comply with consent, telemarketing, anti-spam, recording, platform, and do-not-contact rules. You must identify the sender, provide required AI disclosures, honor opt-outs promptly, and avoid manipulative or excessive contact.
Do not record, transcribe, or analyze a meeting or conversation without all notices and permissions required in each participant’s jurisdiction.
Enforcement
We may use automated signals and human review to investigate suspected violations. We do not represent that every item of content is reviewed before processing or distribution. You remain responsible for lawful use.
Depending on severity, history, and risk, we may request information, remove or restrict content, limit features, suspend an account, terminate access, preserve evidence, or report conduct to a platform, rights holder, regulator, or law-enforcement authority. We may act immediately where needed to prevent harm, fraud, security compromise, or legal exposure.
Reporting concerns
Report suspected abuse, infringement, non-consensual synthetic media, or safety concerns to abuse@metapresence.co. Include the relevant URL, account or content identifier, supporting context, and a way to contact you. Do not send unnecessary sensitive personal information.
We review good-faith reports and may request information needed to assess authority, consent, ownership, or risk.
